CBN.com The following is an email Scott sent to his readers about the New Year's Day message Pat Robertson delivered to the CBN staff. It generated quite a response, and we've included some of them below.
I have decided to forward some of Pat’s comments to you for your perusal. He is NOT saying that everything he is pronouncing here is “Thus says the Lord.” You should prayerfully judge what Pat is saying and then you can take it or leave it. But remember as God said in the Old Testament through Isaiah the prophet. “Who else can tell you what is going to happen in the days ahead?” (Isaiah 44.7)
Pat Robertson Commentary
1. In regard to the recent tsunami disaster, as it was in the
days of Noah, everyone was going about their business, buying
& selling, etc. and then the flood came (Luke 17) However,
“mercy trumps disaster.” Now is the time for the USA
& the church to extend mercy in midst of disaster.
2. This is going to be a year of extraordinary prosperity for
the USA. The stock market is going to surge
3. President Bush is going to receive victory after victory. The
Social Security reform will pass, the tax reform will pass.
4. Judges will be removed from the Supreme Court quickly and conservative
judges on courts will be appointed.
5. Spiritually speaking - America will experience tremendous incidences
of miracles. There will be an explosion of miracles in America.
God is also moving around the world. CBN is preparing for a great
spiritual harvest of souls for Christ.
6. He is calling on His church to use its financial resources
to spread His word.
7. If the churches of America are faithful, God is going to reward
them. The things that are going to happen will exceed their wildest
dreams.
8. The Muslim world will experience an acceleration of salvation.
9. Terrorists threats will diminish, but there will be more threats
to Israel. Israel will be seduced to a “false peace”.
The vendetta to America will cease.
10. The tsunami is a “warning to the world”. This
was a national disaster. It was not God’s wrath…it
is not time yet. God has more work to do. Do not listen to those
who say that the end of the world is here.

Finally this Word from me to you:
“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the full knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding of spiritual things, and we pray this in order that you…
1. May live a life worthy of the Lord and
2. May please Him in every way
3. Bearing fruit in every good work
4. Growing in the knowledge of God
5. Being strengthened will all power according to His glorious
might so that
6. You may have great endurance and patience
7. Joyfully giving thanks to the Father
... who has equipped you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.”
Colossians 1.9-12

From S.R.: Colossians right back to you, Scott. I appreciate all the communiques and info, as well as your perspectives on different situations and issues.
From M.V.: Maybe at a time such as this what God is doing is showing the nations and the leaders of the world that there is a new army of servants of the most high who without shields and spears will work to fight back the killing floods to heal and provide hope to them who are without hope. Their formal training is oft at a minimum when God truly beckons their service and their hearts in preparedness before Him who we truly worship as the Living God!
From S.A.: When I first learned of the tsunami and that it had landed in such strong Islamic countries I wondered if there might be a connection....that thought lasted just a moment when I threw it away shortly after I heard Pat say it was a natural disaster. I never did think it was the end of the world though....
From S.F.: Indeed these are interesting times we live in.
From W.M. : Thanks so much for sharing the thoughts from Pat. I saw him on The 700 Club when he was sharing some insights about the tsunami not necessarily being God's Wrath. I do concur. I agree with everything he shared especially the doors of salvation opening to the Muslim World. I was listening to an old Derek Prince Tape from the 80s, and he commented that Afghanistan, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia were countries totally closed to the Word. It's amazing that years later those countries are where our country's military forces are at presently.
From B.F.: Very encouraging, especially for a guy like me that has a heart for the lost. Perhaps the "sleeping giant" is beginning to stir.
